Effective date: 14th August 2026
Thank you for using Wordport. This Privacy Policy explains what information Wordport uses to operate the browser game and iPhone app, how it is used, and the choices available to you.
1. Who We Are
Wordport is published by:

2. No Account Required
You do not need to create an account to play Wordport.
Wordport does not require your name, email address or telephone number in order to play.
3. Anonymous Player Identity and Game Data
Wordport creates an anonymous player identifier so puzzle progress and personal-best results can be associated with the same browser or app installation.
Game information may include current puzzle progress, completed puzzles, personal-best scores, game settings, preferences and related gameplay state.
Some information is stored on your device. Anonymous progress and best-score information may also be stored on Wordport's server so results can persist and the game can operate correctly.
4. Usage and Diagnostics
Wordport may record limited anonymous operational and usage information needed to run, protect and improve the game. This can include game sessions, puzzle activity, feature use, sharing activity, app/player version and technical diagnostic information.
The current iPhone app does not include third-party advertising or third-party analytics SDKs.
5. Sharing
When you choose to share a Wordport result, Wordport prepares the Share Card and passes it to your browser or Apple's system Share Sheet. You choose where and with whom it is shared. Wordport does not receive the recipient you choose through Apple's Share Sheet.
6. Advertising and Purchases
Wordport does not currently display advertisements and the iPhone app does not currently offer in-app purchases.
7. Personal Information
Wordport does not knowingly require or collect your name, postal address, telephone number, payment-card information or government identification number in order to play.
If you contact Wordport directly, the information you voluntarily provide in that correspondence will be received and used to respond to you.
8. How Information Is Used
Information may be used to operate Wordport, preserve game progress, validate moves, improve gameplay, fix bugs, monitor reliability, understand feature use, protect against abuse and provide support.
9. Data Sharing
Wordport does not sell your personal information.
Information may be processed by service providers that are necessary to host and operate Wordport. Apple system services are used by the iPhone app for functions such as notifications and sharing.
10. Retention and Control
Information stored locally remains until it is cleared or the app/browser storage is removed. Anonymous server-side operational and game data may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to operate, protect and improve Wordport.
You may contact Wordport if you have a privacy question or require assistance relating to your data.
11. Children's Privacy
Wordport is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly require identifying personal information from children in order to play.
12. Security
Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to protect information handled by Wordport. No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
13. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights concerning personal information, including rights of access, correction, deletion, objection or complaint to a data-protection authority.
